Martha Brooks has lived in Holy Trinity Parish her entire life. She attended Catechism classes at Holy Trinity and made her first communion with the Holy Trinity Catholic School even though she and her sisters and a brother attended Maple Lawn School; which was within walking distance of her home in Oak Lawn Heights. Martha attended high school at Ursuline Academy, along with her sisters. She was President of her class the four years of attendence and was Valedictorian of her graduating class. Martha married Kenneth Brooks in 1940 and their three children attended Holy Trinity Catholic School. Martha has served as President of the Holy Trinity Catholic School Mothers Club 1954-1955 and was elected President of the Altar Society 1955-1956, the year of the 50th anniversary of the Parish. She has always been actively involved with the Parish serving on the Finance Committee when Father Jerome Calcagno was Pastor, serving on the first RCIA team , serving as a Eucharistic Minister, and Lector. When she was serving on the Finance Committee, she was the first woman to ever speak from the pulpit at Holy Trinity Catholic Church when she gave a talk about Stewardship. For many years Martha was on the Parish Council and is presently serving on the Administrative Committee.

 

Beatrice Guerra Carter was born and raised in Dallas, Texas. She attended all grades at Holy Trinity Catholic School and graduated in 1983. She then attended Bishop Lynch and during her junior year she was admitted to the Health Professions Magnet School and graduated in 1987. Beatrice then attended the University of Texas in Austin & in the summer of ’87 transferred to the University of Texas in Arlington where she graduated in 1991 with a B.A. degree in Social Work with a minor in Psychology. A mother of three, a son who is a Senior at Townview Magnet Center (Science & Engineering), a daughter who is a HTCS graduate 2006 & now a Junior at Townview Magnet Center (Health Professions), and Isabella who is presently a 7th grader at HTCS. Beatrice currently works as a Case Manager at the Holy Trinity Center and she also serves on the Executive Committee of the PTO. Beatrice also works with Kathleen Dennehy-Taylor and Tony Levatino on "Friends" bookkeeping.

 

Catherine Civello is a graduate of Holy Trinity Catholic School, Ursuline Academy of Dallas and Marillac College (BA, English). Cathy completed her graduate work in Literature at the University of Texas at Dallas (MA, PhD). She has over 30 years of experience as an educator and administrator on both the college and high school levels. Married to Gary Worsham, she has one son, Austen, who is in his second year of residency in radiology at the UT- Affiliated hospitals in Houston. Her siblings, Philip and Chena, both attended Holy Trinity; her mother is a past president of the Holy Trinity Mothers Club. Cathy was a former Daughter of Charity and maintains friendships with several members of the DC Community. Currently, she is the Director of Publications and Alumni Affairs at St. Alcuin Montessori School in Dallas.

 

Paula Day was born and raised primarily in the Midwest. She moved to Dallas in 1990 in order to teach at St. Anthony's for several years and then moved to Austin, Texas to pursue a Master's degree in Library and Information Science. Paula and her husband Paul returned to Dallas and re-joined Holy Trinity Catholic Church in 1996. Their two daughters attend Holy Trinity Catholic School and both Paula and her husband, are involved in HTCS. Paula presently serves on the Holy Trinity Catholic School Advisory Council. Currently she works as a research and knowledge manager for McKinsey & Company, a global management consulting firm. Paula's husband Paul works for IBM  Sales & Marketing Group.

 

Frank Gordon Gruber, Jr. attended Holy Trinity Catholic School and graduated in 1955. He  graduated from St. Vincent's Collage, Cape Girardeau, MO. In 1959. Gordon received a B.A. in Philosophy from St. Mary of the Barrens, Perryville, MO in 1964 and continued his studies in Theology
and History at DeAndreis Seminary in Lemout, IL. and DePaul University in Chicago. After leaving the Vincentian Seminary in 1966 he worked for Haggar Apparel for the next 29 years and left as V.P. of Purchasing . After that he worked for Hat Brands, Inc. and Primeco Personal Communications in Dallas. In 1996 he moved to Tennessee to work with Kellwood Corp. and American Ordnance, Milan Army Ammunitions Plant. He retired in February 2005 and moved to Dallas and now works part- time at Restland Funeral Home. Gordon was married and has three children, a daughter and two sons and two grandchildren.

 

Jack Harper is Chairman & Chief Executive Officer of Harper House. Jack has over forty years experience in graphic arts production and business management. He recently served a four year term on the National Board of the International Press Association and a three year term as a board member of the Printing and Imaging Association of Texas. Jack attended Holy Trinity Catholic School in 1946 and graduated in 1954. He graduated from Jesuit High School at the old Oak Lawn Association across the street from Holy Trinity Catholic School. He attended SMU on an athletic scholarship in baseball, graduating in 1962 with a BBA degree. He is a member of the Southwest Conference Letterman's Club Association and is in the Jesuit Hall of Fame. Jack has been married to Carola for 44 years and have four daughters and three grandchildren.

Elizabeth Carter Hawkins was born in Mexico, MO. where she attended public schools. She graduated from the University of Missouri in 1972 and began her teaching career the following year. While working for an educational laboratory in St. Louis, Liz had her first opportunity to work for Catholic schools. Mrs. Hawkins moved to Dallas in 1976 where she worked for several years in the oil and gas business (for Hunt Energy, General American Oil, and Dorchester Gas). Elizabeth and Mike Hawkins were married in 1978 and have three children, Kate, Kelley, and Chris. While her children attended St. Monica School, Elizabeth joined the Catholic Church through the RCIA program. After seven years as a stay at home mom, she began teaching again, accepting a position at Christ the King School. In 1992 Mrs. Hawkins began a 17 year teaching career at Holy Trinity. During those 17 years she served at Extended Day director, Summer Programs director, Middle School Coordinator, and mentor to several teachers. In 2008 Mrs. Hawkins began her work on a Masters program in Catholic School Leadership at the University of Dallas. Mrs. Hawkins was named principal of Holy Trinity Catholic School for the 2009-2010 school year last May. She is a member of Holy Trinity Church and enjoys gardening and watching sports with family and friends.

 

David Judd is a 1961 graduate of Holy Trinity Catholic School and his wife Susie Salinas Judd,  a graduate of 1963. They are the parents of four children. David is originally from Rochester, N.Y. and moved here with his parents in 1956, attending HTCS from 4th through 8th grades. He graduated from the University of Dallas in 1970 after being in the Vincentian seminary for eight years. He was honorably discharged from the United States Army in 1972, and worked as a Public Health Advisor in Miami, Florida with the Department of Health, Education, and Welfare. From 1974 to 1977 he was an adult probation officer with Dallas County while completing course work in Criminology and Corrections at Sam Houston State University. He received a law degree from St. Mary's University in San Antonio Texas in 1979. He practices law in the DFW metroplex as a sole practitioner with his primary focus being in the area of criminal law.

 

 

 

Sharon Ochs Kissner was born in Dallas. Her family has had a life long relationship with Holy Trinity Catholic Church and School. It began with her grandparents. Her grandfather, Martin C. Kleuser was chief architect for the current church and school. Sharon created a thesis entitled "Presentation Project:
Holy Trinity Church" while earning her designation as an Interior Designer and was generous enough to allow the "Friends" to post it on our webpage. Sharon graduated from Holy Trinity Catholic School in 1961 and Ursuline Academy in 1965. In 1969 she graduated from St. Mary's Dominican College in New
Orleans with a B.A. in Fine Arts. Sharon returned to school attending El Centro College and received a certificate in Interior Design in 2004. Sharon and her husband Mike Kissner have four children between them and two grandchildren. Sharon graduated from Holy Trinity in 1961; her siblings, Jimmy Ochs
graduated in 1962, Marty Ochs in 1966 and Glen Ochs in 1970.

Sherman LaBarba attended and graduated from Holy Trinity Catholic School in 1959. He attended and graduated from Jesuit High School in 1963, this was the last graduating class from the "Old Jesuit High School" which was directly across the street from Holy Trinity Catholic School. He attended and graduated from East Texas State University in 1968, now a branch of Texas A& M. Sherman is married to Carla LaBarba and they have three children, Jeff LaBarba, Julie LaBarba Miggins and Jennifer LaBarba McLochlin. They are grandparents of Lily Frances Miggins, Patrick Joseph S. Miggins, James Benjamin Miggins, Jennifer Griffin Sears McLochlin and Henry Gammon McLochlin.

Linda Hill Lee was born in Michigan and moved to Dallas at age 19. She graduated from the University of Texas in 1985 with a Bachelor of Arts degree. She is married to Michael Lee, an attorney, and member of the Holy Trinity Catholic School Board. They were married at Holy Trinity Catholic Church and have been active members for the past twenty-four years. They have two children, Amanda, who attended HTCS through the eighth grade and then attended and graduated from Ursuline Academy in 2008. She is now attending Seton Hill University in Greensburg, Pennsylvania on an academic and athletic scholarship. Matthew is attending Holy Trinity Catholic School in the seventh grade. Linda has served on the Parent Teacher Organization board for four years and served as President the past two years.

Sheila Madigan Levatino was born in Chicago, IL and moved to Dallas as a child. She attended and graduated from Holy Trinity Catholic School in 1955. She attended and graduated from Ursuline Academy in 1959 , then attended and graduated from North Texas University with a BA in Sociology in 1980, while raising  four children. She graduated from SMU in 1987 with a Master in Theological Studies and is a licensed family and marriage therapist ( LMFT) and employed at the Pastoral Counseling & Education Center. Sheila is married to Anthony Levatino and  is proud to say she is not only a wife but also a mother, a mother-in-law, a grandmother, and a daughter. Anthony has three sons and Sheila has three sons and a daughter. Anthony and Sheila have two daughter-in-laws, one son in law & eleven grandchildren.

Anthony S. Levatino was born in Independence, La.  He graduated from Holy Trinity Catholic School in 1954. Attended 2 1/2 years at Jesuit High School and graduated from North Dallas High School in 1958. Tony then graduated from Texas Tech University in 1965 with a B.A. degree. He later received a Certificate in Finance and Certificate in Real Estate from SMU’s Graduate Business School. He enjoyed a 30 year career in commercial banking, retiring as EVP at Bank of America. He worked at InterFirst Bank, in Dallas , Republic Bank in Houston & Dallas, Nations Bank, Dallas & Bank of America in Los Angeles. He then entered securities business successfully obtaining a Series 7 & 66 license and a variable insurance license. He is a licensed Real Estate broker, insurance agent and a designated real estate appraiser where he received his designation as a Certified Commercial Investment Broker. He served as Chair of the American Banker's Real Estate Committee for a two yr. term.  Chairman of the Texas Bankers Real Estate Committee. Chair of the March of Dimes Campaign in Houston & San Antonio; Member of the
Board of Directors of Laguna Gloria Museum, Austin; member of the Finance Committee to the Board of the Texas State Teachers Assoc. Served a six yr. term as Advisory Director of Catholic Charities, past Treasurer and President of the St. Vincent de Paul Society at Holy Trinity, and currently as Managing Director of the Holy Trinity Center. He has also received his Certification for Non-Profit Management from the Center for Non-Profit Management.

 

Keith Manoy is Project Manager of Transportation Planning for the City of Dallas, Department of Public Works and Transportation. Keith attended and graduated from St. Anthony Catholic School, Bishop Dunne High School and the University of Texas at Austin. Keith is married to Denise Manoy and they have one daughter. Their daughter, Brynne, attended Holy Trinity Catholic School from pre-school through eighth grade and is a graduate of Bishop Dunne High School. Keith and Denise have been active volunteers in the non-profit community and Keith is now not only on the Board of the Friends of Holy Trinity Catholic School, Inc. but also Catholic Charities of Dallas and the South Dallas/ Fair Park
Inner-City Development Corporation.

Rosalinda Ruiz Quiroga attended (K-8th) and graduated from Holy Trinity Catholic School in 1979. She then attended and graduated from Ursuline Academy in 1982. She attended the University of Dallas, Business; Graduated 1986 in Travel and Tourism from the International Aviation and Travel
Academy. She married in 1994 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church to Eliseo Quiroga. Rosalinda & Eliseo have one son, Jehoshua. Jehoshua attended  pre-K at Holy Trinity Catholic School and is continuing his education at a neighborhood school. Rosalinda is the Assistant Director of Human Resource Management for Hilton Hotel.

Nancy San Roman attended parochial schools elementary through high school graduating from Pensacola Catholic High in 1974. Nancy then graduated from the University of Florida in 1979 with a degree in Physical Therapy. She has been employed by Methodist Medical Center for the past 25 years. Currently she is senior staff physical therapist. Nancy has been in charge of clinical education for Physical
Therapy students and has held adjunct faculty positions at three Texas Universities. Nancy has been involved in pilot programs for the American Cancer Society and the North Texas Arthritis Foundation. She is married to her spouse, Edward and has two sons who attended Holy Trinity Catholic School.

Ron Schoof was born in Evanston, IL. and moved to Dallas, TX at the age of 3 1/2. He attended Holy Trinity Catholic School and graduated in 1955. He then entered the Vincentian Seminary, Montebello, California and then Cape Girardeau, MO. He graduated from St. John Seminary, San Antonio, Texas
in 1959 and then attended the University of Dallas in 1959-1960 and the University of Detroit graduating with a B.A. in 1963 and an M.P.A. in 1964. He has had a career in Sales Management spanning 40 yrs. and is now President of Schoof & Associates, a Management Consulting firm specializing in the lawn and garden and pet industries. He has served a number of yrs. as Vice President of the Starfish Foundation. Ron is Co-Founder and presently Director of Marketing of The Purple Balloon Foundation. Ron as taught CCD for over ten years and is now serving as a Eucharistic Minister at St. Mark's the Evangelist Church.
He has served four years as District Commissioner of the Boy Scouts of America for Collin County. He and his wife Barbara have been married for 35 years and have four children and five grandchildren.

Becky Serna-Autrey is a native of Dallas, attended and graduated from Holy Trinity Catholic School in 1973. Her two older sisters, Carmen and Mary Theresa, also graduated from Holy Trinity Catholic School. Becky attended Bishop Lynch High School graduating in 1977. She then attended University of Texas in Austin and graduated with a Bachelor of Nursing Degree and is now employed at the Pediatric Surgery Center as a pediatric surgery nurse. Becky has one daughter, Andrea, who is a student at Duke University.  Becky's husband , Ezell, is an Obstetrician/Gynecologist at Medical City Dallas Hospital. Becky is a Eucharistic Minister at St. Rita Catholic Church and has been involved with Junior League of Dallas, Bryan's House, and Girls Incorporated of Metropolitan Dallas. Becky's mother, Vera Serna, is a lifelong member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church and is a volunteer in the office and as a Eucharistic Minister. She is also a regular volunteer at the Holy Trinity Center. Her sister, Mary Theresa, is an usher and faith formation teacher at Holy Trinity Catholic Church.

 

Kathleen Dennehy Taylor was born and grew up in England where she attended Catholic elementary schools. She also spent many childhood summers in her parents' homeland of Ireland. Kathleen met native Texan Brooks Taylor, an engineer and lawyer, when they both worked in London. They married in
1984 and have made their home in Dallas and attended Holy Trinity Catholic Church since then. While raising their children, Kathleen attended SMU and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a BA in English in 2001, and Cum Laude with a BBA in Accounting in 2004. She now provides accounting services to small businesses. Kathleen's daughter recently graduated from Holy Trinity Catholic School and her son is currently in fifth grade. Kathleen served on the Holy Trinity Catholic School PTO board for seven years, and currently serves on the School Advisory Council. She also serves as Treasurer of the Friends.

 

Linda Lehner grew up in South Georgia and attended public school through high school. She earned her BS degree from the University of Georgia in 1964, her MA from Northwestern University in Evanston, Il. in 1966 and her PhD from Indiana University in 1976. She is married Paul Lehner. Linda converted to Catholicism and moved to Boston while Paul received his MBA. Linda started her own Speech Pathology Program at the Brigham Hospital, part of Harvard Medical complex. She also served on the faculty at Indiana University, Bloomington campus. Later she became Deputy Mayor of Columbus, IN.  Paul accepted a job in Dallas and the two of them moved to Dallas. For 10 years she served as Director of External Relations at the University of Dallas where she was promoted to VP of Advancement. Linda served as Director of Resource Development for the Greater Dallas Area Command of the Salvation Army. Linda & Paul have two daughters, both graduates from Hockaday. Suzanne graduated from Georgetown in D.C. with an MBA from Indiana University and Lynn graduated from the University of San Diego.

 

Rachel Segal grew up in Appleton, Wisconsin. She is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin, Madison with a degree in Music In Performance, and a minor in Theater. She spent the next eight years singing opera, and performing musical theater in New York City. She then attended, and graduated from Liszt Conservatory's Graduate Artistic Program in Opera, in Budapest, Hungary, where she performed with the Budapest Opera. Upon returning to the United States, she met her future husband, David Segal, in New York City. She then moved to Las Vegas where she lived for two years singing cabaret, and performing in the Debbie Reynolds Casino. She was involved in featured performances with Robert Goulet, and Debbie Reynolds. Rachel married in Manhattan, moved to Dallas, and has sung with the Fort Worth Opera, and became a 2005 Grammy Nominee for her Christmas Album. She is the mother of three children, one of whom is currently attending Holy Trinity Catholic School.

 

Kevin Byrne was born in Dallas and is a graduate of Holy Trinity, 1963. Six of his siblings also attended and graduated from Holy Trinity as well: Maureen, class of 1957, Thomas, class of 1959, Timothy, class of 1961, Brian, 1st-7th grade, Sean, K-3rd grade, and Terence, 1st grade.  Kevin graduated from the University of Texas at Austin and from Texas Tech University, School of Law. He and his wife, Jeanette, were married at Holy Trinity Church in 1976. They moved to Fort Worth, Texas in 1988 where he now practices Law. They have 4 children, 2 of whom currently live in Texas, 1 in Taiwan and 1 in Brazil.

 

Ana Herrera is a native Dallasite. She attended OLPH for elementary school and graduated from Ursuline Academy in 1999. She went on to study corporate finance at SMU where she received her
degree in Business Administration of Finance from SMU’s Cox School of Business in 2003. As of 2007, she is the Executive Director of the Anita N. Martinez Ballet Folklorico. Ms. Herrera has a background in corporate finance and worked with Bank of America in the Global Wealth & Investment division prior to ANMBF. Ana has one daughter, Isabella, who is currently attending Kindergarten at Holy Trinity.
